Wear Resistant Studs

The Studwise product represents state of the art Wear Resistant Technology designed for the toughest of mining conditions. Field operations in iron ore, coal, mineral sands, gold and nickel ore bodies testify to the quality of this proven and cost effective product. High in carbon and chromium, the Wearstuds are simply applied onsite with a welding gun which homogenously joins them to heavy wear areas on components of earth moving and fixed plant operations. It can be applied four times faster than wearplates and conventional hard-facing and lasts three to ten times longer, greatly reducing downtime.

FAStuds

Using the same applicating equipment, FAStuds can be fitted to the back of wearplates, eliminating the expense and time consuming need to drill and counter sink holes. This is the only option when using rubber liners or chrome carbide liners. The variety of stud sizes manufactured range from 8 – 20mm in diameter and length as required.

Stud Welding Units

The fitting of Studwise Wearstuds is by the process of Arc Fusion Welding using DC power from transformer-rectifiers plugged into workshop power. For maximum portability, a diesel driven generator is used. Solid state circuitry provides the automatic weld timing amperage control.
